It was very important, in my mind, for Morgan le Fey to really stand out from the other ladies of King Arthur's court. Her outfit should match her personality -- bold, ruthless, sexy, and forward-thinking. So, rather than put her in a kirtle and sideless surcoat, so suited to the period of the show, I instead put her in a dress that combined elements of medieval dress with more advanced elements, such as a laced bodice, and elements evoking her fey-ness, such as a sheer overlay to ripple over the whole ensemble.
