French Hood

The French Hood is a classically Tudor headpiece. Storied Threads' French hoods are 90% hand-stitched and beaded. They have a wired edge for shaping, and are designed to stay on the head by use of the veil in back, which secures around your own braided hair. If you prefer, we can also add a comb to the front of the hood, hidden from sight.

In addition to the hoods we have in stock, we will be happy to create a hood for you to match your Tudor or Elizabethan gown out of your own fabric.
